Twice a year, designers from across the globe descend upon the small town of High Point, North Carolina to visit showroom after showroom filled with new, cutting edge furniture, accessories, and collections -- a designer's Mecca. We recently traveled along with thousands of other designers to check out the 180 buildings housing over 2,000 exhibitors and decided to dedicate this week's blog post to sharing the rising trends and revitalized styles we spotted at this Spring's High Point Market.
Here are just a few of the eye-catching vignettes:
Aren't they gorgeous?! Now, onto the trends!
We saw so many variations of woods mixed with bold metals:
Single-color, Ikat-style tie-dye. Yes, tie-dye, but in more sophisticated patterns and typically one main color. A touch laid back, but definitely not trippy.
Many collections featured lamp fixtures with solid glass bases. Crystal clear and very visually "light."
Pantone's colors of the year (Rose Quartz and Serenity) were seen implemented across vignettes as well as individual items.
Many lighting showrooms displayed gorgeous astral-inspired chandeliers worthy of rendering your dining room a beautiful galaxy!
Obviously, brass and gold are still heavy-hitters in the furnishings world. So, what do you think about the trends we picked up on? What are your favorites? What are you hoping to see more of? Let us know in the comments below!
